Woo hoo! we had our first snow yesterday. It was a beautiful day: warm-weather snow, with tiny flakes filling the air from 10 am until after dark. Looking toward the horizon, it looked more like fog than snow. It’s the sort of day that would have made the Thanksgiving mood perfect. So the weather’s a week late; oh well.
This morning is absolutely gorgeous as well. There is heavy cloud cover, so as the sun rose, what developed was a black and white scene of dark-barked, leafless trees and evergreens coated with snow, all on a white background.
Last year I was in Mississippi, and they never got more than a skiff of the white stuff when I was in town, so this morning I get to fire up the snow blower for the first time in two years.
